Sustainability & Social Responsibility
What matters most to Bluefin is not really “what you do” or “what you produce”, but rather “how you do it” and “how you produce it”. We surely expect our customers and partners to also share this vision.
As such, Bluefin and all the stake holders in the production chain are deeply concerned in abiding by core values in order to reach a level of excellence regarding a real sustainable approach in our activity. Some examples:
Water and Energy Saving
Water recovery cycle systems and heat saving units in the manufacturing units; solar panels and other green energies are integrated as much as possible in the processes.
Water Recycling
Spinning and Dyeing plants are all equipped with water treatment systems, not only for ecological reasons but also to improve the pH of the water which allows for more constant dyeing lots.
Recycling of Waste Materials
Waste fabrics and plastics are handled and recycled by accredited companies. This is a logical and efficient solution to optimize the use of our resources.
Organic and Recycled Raw Materials
As far as the technical requirements and specifications of our clients allow, we welcome the use of organic and recycled fibers in our garment solutions.
Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Dyes
We actively collaborate with the top dyestuff producers in the market in order to incorporate the most eco-friendly and sustainable dyes in our production process, such as dyes free of p-CA and other regulatory controlled amines.
Fairtrade
This is an efficient certification system to control and ensure that there is economic and social fairness throughout the entire production change, particularly raw materials producers at the country of origin.
Social Responsibility
The level of our commitment towards maintaining a socially responsible business in terms of our relationships with our customers, suppliers, our employees and with society in general, is exactly as strong as the attention we give to our environmentally sustainable practices.
